The Faculty of Engineering’s Student Design Centre, in cooperation with Engineering Outreach (WE Connect) and the Waterloo Center for Automotive Research (WatCAR) will be hosting the second annual University of Waterloo Electric Car Technology Challenge (ECTC) on Saturday May 25, 2013. The challenge featured 2 races in the 12 and 24 volt classes and an Engineering Design Award competition, the ECTC gives high schools students a chance to demonstrate and race the electric cars that they have designed and built. The race was held at the Student Design Centre, the home of many of the Engineering Faculty’s student teams, including the Formula Motorsports, Formula Hybrid and Midnight Sun Solar Race car teams . All competitors and visitors are welcome to join us.
