A review of IT services on campus resulted in a decision to move all student email to a central system,
Mailservices, operated by Information Systems and Technology. First year Engineering students already have accounts on Mailservices.
If you have received this email you are a current user of Engmail and your email will be
moved to Mailservices on Thursday Feb. 24 2011 starting at 10am.
After the change, you should see
regular mail delivery, to the address specified in the email field specified in your WatIAM account. If this was previously set to your account on engmail.uwaterloo.ca, after the move it will be set to mailservices.uwaterloo.ca. It would be wise to check that the information in WatIAM is correct.
What to do if something goes wrong.
- Don't panic; your old email has not been removed.
You can still get to engmail; you just won't receive new incoming email there.
