Alex, you will be FINE! =), and go to San Diego! It's so nice there. Don't you worry buddy, wherever you go, I'll come up with a list of place you MUST visit while you're there, hahaha! =)

I'm having a good time here so far, miss everyone though. I shall update my blog soon, hahah =)

Exciting times for all.

No BBQ at Tim's this summer... so annual BBQ at my place again sound good for everyone? =D

Speaking of which...that reminds me of the video of Xiao's leg waxxing that took place at my place... *shudders*

Maybe we should invade George's new house instead! =D

Weee... back to circuit analysis...

JobMining Phase 1: Search, Short List & Apply

ENG-Computer > 1-25 of 592. HOLY SHOOT! That was a lot of sifting through the search results...

Add to Short List. Add to Short List. Add to Short List. HOLY SHOOT! 1-67 of 67. The application limit is 50...

Apply. Apply. Apply. HOLY SHOOT! What was I thinking to add these jobs to my short list? I don't have these skills and qualifications... Apply. Apply. Apply...

Let's get some winners:

Most applicants for a job posting: Morgan Stanley - Application Developer - New York, NY or London, England: 298 Applicants.

Followed by Google, Microsoft, Sun and Amazon.com. That rounds out the top 5 most popular jobs postings. I only applied to two of those.

Then there are job postings at more far out locations:

Tokyo, Japan - Barclays Capital.
London, England - Barclays Capital.
San Diego, California - QUALCOMM.
Santa Clara, California - NVIDIA.
Palo Alto, California - NeoEdge.
Burnaby, BC - Electronic Arts (EA), PMC-Sierra.
Down the street(?) - DataMirror.

There seems to be a lot of non-Toronto jobs on my applications list... uh oh... housing, food, driver's licence...

Thornhill (I'm sure it's hard to guess who this is...*rollseyes*) Waterloo, Ottawa, Burnaby, New York, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, Seattle...

So I applied to all these places hoping for quantity = greater probability of getting an interview. With only BMO IL web design/development experience under my belt/in my head for the past two co-op terms, amongst other negative factors against me, I seem to be a little more disadvantaged than others...

ATI, NVIDIA, RIM and IBM seem to have taken up the bulk of my applications. (Wait, those company names are all uppercase...hmm). I can only wish...

And so the wait begins to see if I get any interviews...if not, what shall I do? Return to BMO IL to linger in a place of no progression, minimal learning and people who just don't live up to the quality and skills I expect of a production team (not my immediate team) for a third term in a row? What to do, what to do...?

Excuse me while I take my anger out on my Blackberry...

Crushed Blackberry

Shhhh!! Raymond, nobody needs to know... ;)

These employer info sessions here on campus at Waterloo are quite informative in that I get to learn more about companies that I've never heard of, possibly apply for a job, and last but not least, get free stuff.

The Deloitte session served alcohol too... Now that I've never seen before...

The RIM session makes the place seem like the place to be, but the qualifications seem equally as intimidating, but a perk is getting a REAL Blackberry to play with for the four months.

Job postings go online tomorrow and continue on through to Wednesday next week. I'll see what I can dig up in the JobMine...

Raymond
looks kinda fake to me
