This Saturday! Although it seems so far away. I still get really confused whenever someone tells me "Hey! You're leaving this weekend!".
Two exams can make the days move like weeks.

woah... Richard knows Angie?
lol... Anyhow... wow... i'm tired... i'm home... weeeeee When are you coming home Tim? :D
Tim L. | |
I'm pretty sure he "borrowed" it, as in, "I'll steal your credit card number and hack/flood your email, destroy your website" borrowed.
Richard, you stalker! haha, but oh my goodness, you know Angie? I know Jenna from your high school yearbook club! This is too funny, small world indeed.

Hahaha... Raymond, I think you're safe for the next little while ;)
Oh, Miss... you can hold and use my camera any day...and you know you love my lashes! *bat bat* Your S50 is nice and discrete. Plus, it can do macro so easily...and here I am struggling with reversing lenses, extension tubes and close-up filters...

Easter Weekend
What did I do the entire long weekend? Photo-ing with Nikon's top-of-the-line $6,000 digital SLR. Oh my goodness what a joy to use - for six grand, I really hoped so! ![]() The Nikon D2X is a can capture 12.4 megapixel photos at 5 frames per second or 6.8 megapixel photos at 8 frames per second. Coupled with the Speedlight SB-800, Raymond, this redefines Seisure-Cam. I had a couple SB-800's to play with so I had multiple wireless flash set-ups going. The D2X doesn't have a built-in pop-up flash that can act as Commander Mode like the D200 does, so it needs a SB-800 to act as the Master Commander - and it's quick to trigger the slaves. This package also came with the new Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED lens. From wide to tele with vibration reduction works as advertised. Shooting at 3 or 4 stops slower than normal is very much achievable (though VR is no substitute for good hand-held technique). One conern I had with this lens was the lens creeping that I had experienced when I pointed the lens straight down, or straight up - too much glass and too smooth zoom ring? I'm not sure. This weekend I also tried shooting some photos with a reversed 50mm prime lens as a pseudo macro lens. It worked great, though I wish I had a more pernament mount that just holding the lens in one hand, and the 6 lb D2X + SB-800 in the other. When I started looking into dSLRs, I thought te Canon Digital Rebel was great because it was bigger and more comfortable than then the smaller flim SLRs. Then my D70 came along and that changed my world and the Rebel felt small in my hands. Now after playing with the monstrous D2X for a weekend, I think my D70 is puny and featherweight. So I photo-ed around the house for a day, and then I took this baby downtown for a day (RBC Vancouver 2010 Olympic Flag Tour and other downtown photo-ing...which shall be another entry in itself later on). Photos at: http://www.ece.uwaterloo.ca/~atruong/d2x/ No, I didn't buy it... I just borrowed it for a weekend. I'm still in university and still need to pay this 8% increase in tuition!
