Ya I heard the sirens coming just before 7pm, so bloody sad. Sigh, welcome to my future career people.

Chester Le Blvd. Triple Homicide

143 Chester Le Blvd. The scene of a triple homicide

For those of you who don't know, yes, this is where Raymond, Katie, my brother and myself attended elementary school.

Here's the summary from 680News:

A 40-year old Toronto man is facing three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife and two small children.

The 38-year old woman, a five month old boy and three year old girl were killed last night in a home at 143 Chester Le Blvd. in the Victoria Park and Finch area.

Neighbours heard screams from their basement apartment in the city's northeast end.

Huc Minh Chau was to appear in court today.

Investigators say the murder scene was so violent and so disturbing the officers who responded are now undergoing counselling.

The husband and wife reportedly owned a nearby grocery store which had recently been forced to close for financial reasons.

143 Chester Le Blvd. That's less than 200 metres away from Katie and Raymond, 500 metres from Alice, and 900 metres from where I live. That's a tad close for comfort...

Smoothness = Yummy

Tablet fun... *doodles*

There were plenty of pearl ones in the Mac section at the CompuSmart at Kennedy Commons (Kennedy/401) when I went on the first day of the sale. Heck, there were plenty of all the colours left.

Wacom Graphire 3 Tablet

Even though I had a splitting headache yesterday, I still went out to pick up a Wacom Graphire3 Tablet from CompuSmart. They were clearing out their 4x5 Graphire 3's to make way for the new Graphire 4's. I chose the graphite grey-coloured one. The pearl white was nice, but I though I'd get it dirty pretty quickly. The blue was OK, but it didn't match my red computer case =P...so graphite grey it was.

Now, if only getting a tablet translated into increased drawing skills... hmmm...
