Try going to : http://www.google.com/translate_t to translate this page from Englsh to Simplified Chinese using Google's Translation system. Quite interesting. From studentlifecentre.com: David R. Cheriton has donated $25 million dollars to the UW School of Computer Science! Hence, the UW School of Computer Science has been renamed the "David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science". Gloria goes to Schulich, Alice goes to Cheriton! I'm surprised, the UW School of Computer Science hasn't been renamed the William H. Gates III School of Computer Science... | Want to work for UW part-time?
From the UW Daily Bulletin: Meanwhile, back on campus, there's a light coating of snow and ice this morning, and more will be falling over the months ahead. The plant operations department sends word that its grounds crew could use help on shovelling duty in the early mornings. "We need people to be ready to work outside starting at 7:30 on any weekday morning that there is 2 cm or more of snow on the ground," says Les Van Dongen of plant ops. "Pay this year is $10 an hour. We can work around students' schedules as long as they are available for the first hour of the morning." Anyone interested should get in touch with him by e-mail, lpvandon@uwaterloo.ca. If you shovel your driveways at home for nothing, why not consider shovelling your campus for $10? | |

Windows Live
Not only does Windows crash as a native operative system, it also crashes online! When I try to access Windows Live Beta (www.live.com) using IE, it crashes! Ironically, I can access is using FF. However, Norton Internet Security's "Browser Privacy" disables the "sign in" link. Disabling that feature enables it. Interesting...very interesting... Bill Gates Goes to College

| eh, i actually went to the installation ceremony for ryerson's new president :) t'was interesting. the party afterwards was fun haha.
speaking of ryerson, we got a couple good results, apparently we're ranked 1st for leaders of tomorrow. now, UW's claiming it, ryerson's claiming it...different categories? lol. anyway, hopefully with our new president we can climb the ladder a bit :) | |
