| Microsoft Internship - Day 16 - Mt. Rainier Paradise Hike
This is going to sound like last weekend, but here it goes... On a beautiful Saturday, even more than eight of us Microsoft interns, full-timers and some Amazon interns travelled two and a half hours south to hike another trail in Mt. Rainier National Park. This time, we took a shorter trail (three hours, versus five hours) which had some steep inclines at the beginning, but it quickly levelled off to provide some rewarding panoramic views.

| Though after three games my arm was a bit sore and my thumb a bit bruised from a small hole in the ball, but twas fun indeed.
Nevertheless, on with hiking at Mt. Rainier. Again.

| Microsoft Internship - Day 13 - Bowling for Groceries
On Wednesday, we had a lunch gathering of Microsoft interns and alumni from Waterloo. "Just look for the Canadian Flag!" said the invite email. There was no Canadian Flag, as the flag bearer was late... so we drew out own red and white on a sheet of paper and flew it proudly until the real flag came. This was a sizable turnout and it had me wondering just how many students did Microsoft actually hire from Waterloo this term. After work the same day, we had our first Microsoft-organized event specifically for Waterloo interns with some more Waterloo Alumni: Bowling at Tech City Bowling just a few minutes from north campus. As it turns out, we have the largest group of Waterloo interns this term - 35 students in total. A small hint of competition was in the air for the top three bowling scores that night as $100, $50 and $25 gift cards wer up for grabs. I managed four strikes, three in a row, and a few spares sprinkled throughout to bowl a personal best 164, good enough to score either a $50 Best Buy gift card, or a $50 Safeway (grocery store) gift card. I'm sure my house is happy that I chose the $50 fridge filler ;) Money, is money, is money. Not bad for my third time bowling.
