Working away in the Wedge Lab...
And the rest of the photos from the collaborative effort:
| Alex T. | |
| Funny. Today's the first time I've heard of the black card, and I hear about it twice within five minutes of each other from two different sources. Freaky. | |
| Alex T. | |
| Feather-ish. | |
| Dan T. | |
| yes, the last one was quite cool. looks space-ish...nebula-ish lol. | |
| Timbo | |
| I like the last one in the album! | |

Some of my fireworks photos from Tuesday's big bang have been up'ed.
A purple and green for my lovely assistant:
And a grand finale:
And the rest of the photos: Trees blocked most of my shots. Oh well.
| Richard | |
| Yeah, I had to toss about 2/3 of my shots because the wind just distorted them so much. Mine are up for whoever's interested. I probably managed like 2 decent shots. | |
| Alex T. | |
| On that blowing note, strong winds distorting the bursts is also weird.
// returning from ISR. | |
| Scott | |
| lame++; | |
| Scott | |
| I say it blows more than it stinks. | |
| Alex T. | |
| Well, it kinda stinks when they all fire into the same area in the sky... | |
| Dan T. | |
| expose them longer and every shot looks like a finale when multiple shells go up lol :) not that there's anything wrong with that =D | |
| Scott | |
| Even at f/13-18? | |
| Alex T. | |
| Having the fireworks light up the forground trees and crowd is pretty cool. But yea, super white... | |
| Richard | |
| Nah, then you get the problem where the centre of the explosion is all white. I'll upload mine tomorrow or something... | |
| Scott | |
| Expose it longer? :( | |
| Alex T. | |
| I'm looking through the fireworks photos from last night, and dang, single explosions are boring! =P | |
| Richard | |
| Look forward to seeing it. I had an off-angle view from the east side of the stage by the giant white truck. You'd think it wouldn't matter for fireworks, but it's kind of weird when they're all stacked together from my point of view... | |

| Shoot!
I dropped the D80 off the tripod (quick release when the joystick head was in portrait orientation) while packing up from the Canada Day fireworks at Columbia Lake in Waterloo... Thankfully only the hood got scratched and the UV filter got a bit dirtied. *phew* Otherwise... D700 anyone? LOL. Good thinkings: kept the lens hood on at night, kept the UV filter on all the time, packed flash lights, RF remote trigger, a steady tripod, and a great assistant.

| SWEEEET dedicated mode switch and.. and.. and...! | |
| Richard | |
| Holy confusing back interface, Batman! | |
| Richard | |
| Glad to see I wasn't the only one that spotted that! | |
