| I'm here, Calvin. Where are you?? | |
| Alex T. | |
| Ya! Let's go! | |
| Calvin | |
| Are you gonna stay for long? I wanna go to DC too! | |
| Alex T. | |
| I might be in 10 minutes! | |
| Calvin | |
| Alex Alex, are you at DC???? | |
| Calvin | |
| Yes, I have a lot of PS1 memory cards from back in the day. But...they're in Vancouver... | |
| Timbo | |
| Does anyone have a PS1 memory card they do not use anymore? Want to donate it to me!? | |
| Alex T. | |
| Of course not Apple pie =D | |
| Scott | |
| What kind of pie? apple pie or pumpkin pie? | |
| Alex T. | |
| Dan's grinning with a smile as big as pie right now... | |
| Dan H. | |
| Yes, let's hope, Calvin... :D | |
| Calvin | |
| Are you gonna visit me in Vancouver again? Or I should probably come down at least once this time. Let's hope someone else out of our pool of mutual friends makes it to Seattle tooooooo | |
| Alex T. | |
| But.. but... yea...
Thus I'm returning. | |
| Calvin | |
| Alex! You didn't go to the Olympic Structure Park? I told you to go!!!! | |
| Scott | |
| or a "revolution"!
and then on the resume... you can write... "Revolutionized the photo club" hahaha
| Alex T. | |
| Oh no... hands off. | |
| Richard | |
| That sounds like club-President-like talk to me. Ready for a coup?
Any cheap camera stores in Seattle to recommend or did you buy everything online? I suppose I can have it shipped to the hotel I'm staying at, but since the window is so tight I don't want to risk it.

| Too much powerpoint and talking. No actual hands-on demos or audience participation. Good voice and talking skills though.
Hopefully someone got something out of it. I just went to learn different methods of teaching. A small classroom environment would have probably been better. Skip the powerpoint and actully have a camera, lenses and immediate photo feedback. These are digital cameras for cry out loud. That's their strong point: immediate feedback! Show the effects of aperture by taking two pictures. Show shutter speed, show the ISO noise, show the aperture ring opening and closing. These events may be improved by gathering common people into smaller groups and have them sit together to form a little support group. Ex. Canons to the left, Nikons to the right, Pentex here, Olympus there. Then when beginners have trouble finding the shutter dial, or ISO setting, people with similar cameras can just show them in one second. Having audience participation would also help in reinforce concepts. There would also be a point in bringing the participants bringing their cameras. My two pennies.

| Seems kinda formal for it to take place in a lecture hall... | |
| Richard | |
