| Nice. Silence is golden. Enjoy =)
I wonder how well it'll churn out the 1Ds Mark III 25 MB RAW files =P
| Richard | |
| The new system is mighty sweet. It's dead silent and it runs everything nice and quick. Lightroom's enjoyable to work through RAWs now... I have to get through several hundred RAW files that have been put on the backburner simply because I didn't want to put up with slow speeds. | |

| Fight the laziness! We support you!
BTW, how is that new system?
| Anonymous | |
| Laziness, one of the greatest obstacles! | |
| Alex T. | |
| Laziness...well, that's quite an obstacle =P | |
| Richard | |
| Laziness? Not wanting to open up the case anymore? I suppose that's the easiest method... Something for this weekend I guess. | |
| Timbo | |
| Check out the newest feature from Google Earth! if you haven't!
Star light, star bright. First star I see tonight...

| Is there something preventing you from physically plugging the old drive into the new computer and copying it over onto the new drive? | |
| Richard | |
| Or $0.18? Never buy them at full price.
I'm still trying to find a good way of porting over all my old data from my old computer to the new one. I don't have an external (except for my iPod...) so the only option I may have is to hook it up to the network and do a network transfer? If I start now maybe it'll be finished by the time we go back to school.

| ~25 cents per disc is about right :) | |
| Alex T. | |
| Those are some expensive DVD's! | |
| Scott | |
| DVD back up. 80 cents per 4.5 GB :) :) :) | |
| Timbo | |
| I still don't backup, lol =P
But my thousands of high school photos... *sobs*.
| Alex T. | |
| I've been using SyncToy since it came out. 'Tis good. | |
| Richard | |
| *sigh* I suppose I'll wait for the 500GB hard drives to drop to about $90 (again) and then run a RAID 1... You guys scare me when it comes to backing up... | |
| Scott | |
| Might be useful to schedule weekly back-ups :) | |

| So what's with us reporting each other's faves? I think we secretly love the other ;)
I can't wait to see this 3.0" 922,000 pixel screen on both the D300 and the D3! But that's actually just 640x480 (307,200) pixels x 3 colours (RGB) = ~922,000 pixels? But 307,200 is still super dense... HDMI output on a camera? That's interesting... With the live view features nowadays, dSLRs might as well record video too and pipe it out through HDMI at 1080p. =D And ISO 25600 just makes me LOL... It's like me taking a ISO1600 photo with my D70 and pushing it to the limit in ACR, but with hopefully better quality. Also whoa. Sometimes, a noisy photo is better than no photo. Plus, there's always conversion to B&W to ignore the colour noise =) The 1Ds Mark III 20 MP sensor is mind-boggling. 25 MB RAW anyone? Good thing storage is cheap these days... I can't wait for my 500 GB external drive to come in so I can relieve the pressures off my current 320 GB drive. Back ups are so... important. Don't be a Tim! =D. $100 now for a backup drive is better than $1000 later for data recovery, or just plain frustration.

| Going to go for some full-frame lovin', Alex? It even accepts your DX lenses. Now that I'm jealous of... | |
| Scott | |
| PWWNNNNNN | |

| Google search: fanboyistic | |
| Richard | |
| Excellent... score another for consumers who gets shafted. Part of me which is pro-MS and the other part that's anti-Sony-everything cheers quietly inside of me. It's almost as fanboyistic (I just coined that, so please create an IEEE reference to me for that one) as my love and disdain for Canon and Nikon, respectively. :P | |

| Now I have the whole world to remind me of meetings. | |
| Timbo | |
| Kenneth, you treating? =D
Microsoft needs to die for buying Paramount and DreamWorks into going HD-DVD exclusive. I was ready to dive into blu-ray, but now I'll have to hold back to see who wins.
| Dan H. | |
| Nah, Kenneth probably just wanted to extend the invitation to everyone who reads this ;) | |
