Haha.. "accurately" is quite an important keyword.

The laser has been tested on ground to work within specifications.
The plane, Boeing 747, flies. The plane, with the laser added on, still flies. The plane just needs to be able to shoot (accurately) while flying. =)

Thanks for the reminder!
Unfortunately, all my surrounding power sockets are all filled... charging 20 AA batteries... with 13 more on deck... :P

The only reason why I have Safari installed is to fix this box for you Mac Safari people... I don't imagine any PC users fully migrating to Safari...
And now, back to PDEng, which is due in... < 30 minutes... Stay tuned for the gory Safari details ;)

star = favourites
and yes, IE 7's a little messed up like that, but not too bad once one gets used to it maybe it's just us, but there were a few things terribly and horribly wrong (functionally) compared to firefox and IE. lol. i'll let alex share the gory details (exaggeration of course, but nonetheless still annoying). he's the one with safari installed, not me lol.

i wish i could close tabs by using clicking my mouse wheel like in Firefox :(
Anonymous | |
correction, not "star + ", just "star"...
star = favourites? okay... star = history? err...
Anonymous | |
why do I feel like i'm missing something?? lol xD
lol, i don't think Apple would confuse conventions with what they found works... i took maybe a minute scanning around the menus and the preferences to see where everything was. (At least they still have a menu, unlike stupid IE7... now THAT is a UI nightmare... lol and I'm not being anti-windows or anti-microsoft but it took me a whole lot longer to figure out where my history is! "star +" icon doesn't really tell me anything...) but do share your safari nightmares... :) cos i want to know what i'm missing out. (i really like their search, lol) oh dan! I wish i had multi-monitors! :(

To borrow from the C|Net guy (or was it some other site?)...Safari on XP looks ok, but I can picture it on Vista, and the only way to describe it is "butt-ugly".
Plus half the things you expect (and have gotten used to) to work in Firefox (or even IE *gasp*) don't work. At least that's what Alex and I found out last night. So yea, infuriating is a good way to describe it. And don't you even dare try window maximization and restoration on multi-monitors, LOL.
Richard | |
I've been meaning to rant about Safari on my blog as any web-savvy geek would do, but yes - infuriating. It works (less the security bugs), but all the UI conventions that were mangled is just poor practice on Apple's part. Alice... how can you stand it? It's a UI nightmare!!!
Anonymous | |
:O
infuriating?? i didn't run into any problems when I tried it out (on my XP Pro laptop... no fancy vista this or that) On another note, MySpace worth 12 billion??? i don't know why but reading that number made me literally LOL....
