i can't believe you guys have time for games... :P

i really dont see much of a difference with the patch, mammoth is a little slower and firing rate is slower but attack power increased to compensate, i like the change to firehawks wen it comes to their missle attacks, nod tank is turned into a wimp but i dont use the tank much anyway

Richard
Um... so far micromanagement is next to impossible. I don't want to say impossible, but let me paint this scenario for you:

- To select all the units visible on-screen, you hold the left trigger and press A. After some experimentation, holding the left shoulder button and pressing A on individual units does a Shift-click action
- In order to get access to unit and building actions, one must hold the right trigger button and cycle using the D-pad
- Groups are cycled through with the up arrow on the D-pad, but are created by holding the right trigger button, going to the group submenu, and then holding A over the desired group number
- The left arrow cycles through something, I just forget what

The only problem (haha, only) is that the camera controls (either analog stick) are way too sensitive and you fly around the map. There are options for sensitivity (I already have it really low, but I may have to turn it to the slowest setting) and cursor magnetism, but I haven't experimented with them that much yet.

Hopefully they've tweaked the game so it's not too difficult with the controls. The only other RTS on a console I know of is Starcraft 64. Hahaha, I can't imagine Starcraft being played properly on a console.

well the new patch balances more or less the infantry which i dont use often anyway except for zone troopers, i have a new found love of the firehawk bombers because of how much they saved my butt countless times against the aliens which are very much in the air superiority category and apparently it takes 20 of them to take out a mothership lol

ill get back to you on the patch update wen i actually read the whole list

I can't imagine an RTS on a console... care to provide us some insight on how all that micro management works with a console controller?

C&C3 is weird on the XBox 360... I only played through the tutorial and it'll take a lot getting used to...

Happy Father's Day

How about something less violent and war-y... =D

BTW, I read there was a massive update to C&C 3 which did some unit re-balancing, do you notice anything different?

Raymond

i think it's funny how you (Tim) ask Alex through his messaging site, and not call him instead ^___^;

now, I would *call* you Tim, but it would be long distance for such a small comment :D heheheh

I can wait... barely. But I can wait =)

Hi, Miss. You're such a pal.

I was debating of upping the RAM on my current box since I've seen 1GB of DDR400 for about $70 at its cheapest... then I figured, nah, with that motherboard I won (which still hasn't come in... I'm getting more and more skeptical as the days go by) I should just build a new computer.

Then there's my deteriorating desktop! My mom uses it for chatting purposes now, seems such a waste. Lots of stuff were put together using that thing! Those were the glorious days...

Alex T.
True, but still affordable. There's always the possibility of 2 x 1GB first and adding another 2 x 1GB later on as well if need be.

a friend of mine was wondering if I wanted to buy a laptop, and for some reason when it came to RAM, i asked him how much can they come with... and he said 2GB... for some reason, and i don't know why, but 2GB seemed so little.... I told him my mind was set to somehow aiming for 4GB of RAM... for a laptop mind you too

so yea, hi Alex, i'm your friend. :)

Richard
I know more RAM is always better, but 1GB is decent right now and I can only imagine how 2GB of faster RAM would be. I'm on PC-3200 right now... I've got 2GB of Readyboost and it's great. All I'm saying is that 4GB is pretty expensive, especially if you want PC-6400 RAM... PC-5400 not so expensive...
