Fascinating...

Richard
Nope. Didn't check really. The best way to describe this weekend was running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Alex T.
@Richard Grab any?

Scott
@alex @richard not stocked in Waterloo :(

Richard
Free photobook (+$7 shipping). Pretty compelling deal. Must be claimed by midnight tonight, then finished by Sunday. They sent me an e-mail saying that my offer was extended till next Saturday, but I don't know if this applies for anyone signing up between now and midnight.

Richard
I'm thinking of buying a bunch this weekend in Vancouver and turning them around in Seattle! :P

Holy wow! Now is the time to get a Zune 8. It's on sale for only $99.99 at Futureshop for all colours! That's a whole $50 off!

Make sure you get the 8 GB model instead of the 4 GB model which is also priced at $99.99 ;)

I was typing up another post last night too but got distracted for an hour and suddenly it was 1 AM. I called it quits.

Richard
I really need to stop writing these things so late... I probably should've hit Save Draft instead of Publish when the clock turned 2am. Oh well!

Introducing the next generation of Windows Live online services + Windows Live Essentials software! And so begins the a new wave of Microsoft's strategy of Software + Services.

Two.

Scott
How many gigajoules is that?

Alex T.
Yea, that's Richard travelling back through time.

Scott
I can just imagine some really upset dev manager saying something along the lines of "who would ever use a zune player in Asia?" or "there's just no way of supporting east-asian characters in unicode"

Oh... the stories.

Alex T.
According to the wonderful world wide web, some Korean dude unplugged his Zune HD, plugged it into his computer, copied over the standard MS Unicode fonts, and... that was it.

Hmm.

Richard
Haha, you probably had people like me at the initial planning meeting. "Unicode support, who the heck needs that?"

It seems like a careless oversight. I'm not fully fluent with the issue, but is there a huge hurdle in supporting a different character set?

Alex T.
Maybe I'll just use my Zune for watching videos and listening to the radio - both things my iPod nano cannot do.

Richard
Why would I need unicode support?

Scott
@Richard @Charing @Alex *gasp* No unicode on the Zune? How terrible!

Dan H.
Alex, you forgot to put the pink earbud caps on

:)

Zune zune?

Richard
... only.

Charing
haha I do. But the other half of my library is still unrecognizable.

Richard
All you have to do is listen to English music...

Charing
No unicode?! Ipod is better then....
