Engineers Make Great Husbands

When choosing a mate, compare these other professionals to Engineers.

DOCTORS
Supposedly, all women are after a Doctor, so don't expect the relationship to last more than 5 years. Eventually, he'll run off with some nurse or one of his young patients, who is pretending to be ill. He'll wait until you are stuck with several kids. This is not a problem with your Engineer husband. He had a hard enough time just meeting you. It's unlikely he'll ever meet another woman.

LAWYERS
Can you seriously expect an honest, trusting relationship with someone who gets paid for lying?? This is not a problem with an Engineer's spouse. He doesn't have enough social skills to lie convincingly. Another drawback in marrying a lawyer is that you will get nothing in a divorce settlement.

SALESMAN
See honesty segment under LAWYER. Plus, a salesman will be travelling in his job. He will be in the company of other equally untrustworthy people. Don't be surprised when you get the invitation to appear on the Ricki Lake show. The firm that employs your Engineer husband will keep him in a cage, called a cubicle, until he goes home to you at the end of the day.

HAZARDOUS PROFESSIONS (POLICE, FIREMEN, CONSTRUCTION WORKER, ETC.)
Your husband, if not killed in an accident, likely will be crippled with injuries just when you are at your sexual peak!!! The only real hazard facing your Engineer husband is losing his eyesight from staring at the terminal. This hazard actually has some benefits. For one, he will not notice that you are aging, because you will be a blur. He will remember how you looked when he first met you. If you think he is eye balling another woman ask, "Honey, were you looking her over???" He will be able to answer honestly, "No, I didn't even see her."

TEACHER
The only reason he chose this profession is so he could be surrounded by newly post-pubescent girls who idolize him. He soon will be in jail, and you'll have to find another husband.
