APDS streamlines healthcare processes in hospital environments and other patient care facilities by automating the process of distributing prescribed medicine. In doing so, it prevents non-adherence to medication, errors in medicine distribution, and it also lessens stress on overworked staff members. A proof of concept prototype was created to demonstrate APDS
We are four Mechatronics students from the University of Waterloo. We are a team with a vision to make healthcare systems more efficient and productive. In Canada, free healthcare means that hospitals must work within strict budgets, and it is our goal to help these institutions achieve greater efficiency.
