Dariush is a PhD candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Waterloo. He is currently working under supervision of Professor Michael Worswick.

 

His research is about warm forming of wrought magnesium alloys. In his research material characterization testing is performed under variety of loading conditions to investigate the mechanical behaviour of magnesium alloys under different temperature and strain rates. An anisotropic and asymmetric user defined material model (UMAT) is recently developed by him to predict the deformation of magnesium alloys. Furthermore, variety of warm forming experiments has been performed by him to validate the predicted FEM simulations.
