Engineering Switch Replacement Program Continues
Ongoing. All switches have been re-distributed to the various
Engineering departments and are being installed. There are still a few
that have not been installed.
EIT Network drops
Ongoing. Over the years, unknown to us, users have been installing hubs in EIT.
This is being rectified with a request by Electrical Engineering
to install 102 drops throughout EIT, with about 12 new ones in DC. MAC
address lockdown will be enforced to reduce this problem in the
future.
VLAN 16 Cleanup
Ongoing. Currently moving switches off of the shared VLAN 16 onto a
private vlan. VLAN 16 was shared between Math and Engineering.
