Discussion:

Beginning of Term update (Ray) - not many problems reported after the server overload problems were solved. Still a couple of things need to be fixed (MS Java VM) or added (help for Visual Studio).

Windows 2000 training course documentation has come in. Please pick up your set from Paula before the September 26th course.

Linux support (Erick) - MFCF and IST are looking into supporting Linux. MFCF has (is setting up) and xhier master. IST has a Red Hat mirror.

Denial of Service attacks (Erick) - Various Linux systems on campus have been comprimised and used as sources for denial of service attacks. Currently until the OS and problem applications have been patched Doug is disconnecting the network from these comprimised boxes.

DC and netwoking (Erick) - some of the switches to upgrade DC have come in. Wiring and the wireless components will get installed given time.
