• IST is responsible for the information systems and information technology infrastructure of the University.
  
• IST provides a variety of services, support and training to members of the university community. Services are available in the Computing Help and Information Place (CHIP) and include: laser printer (including colour), image scanning and software distribution.
• Support services are available both in the Faculties and the CHIP on computer related problems.
• An extensive hands-on training program is also available at no cost to members of the University community.
  
• IST provides training programs to develop and improve computing skills. These programs include IST Courses, Skills for the Electronic Workplace, special request courses, and professional development seminars.
