(2002) Metal Sculpture
Painted with black-light and regular paints, when the sculpture is cast
in black-light, hidden bindary code is revealed along the DNA
strand. This sculpture was inspired by the similarities in
genetic and computer codes, illustrating how common both humans and
computers really are.

This is a copy of a Picasso's Tradegy. In the original painting a
family of three are posing on a beach, showing their misery and
dispare. In this version the familiy is placed in front of
a scrambled background of blocks, which represents the distortion of
reality during horrible and tragic times. However, there is still
hope as the title suggests. The family is still together, and now
must face the challenge ahead. This painting was painted shortly
after the September 11th tradgey in New York, which responds to the
misery and saddness from all the people involved. Even with time
this painting continues to be relevant, especially in the wake of the
Tsnuami tradgey.

Going with the technological theme, this painting is a commentary on
social isolation through technology. With the convience of
telecommunication, there is a possibily of eliminating human
interaction all together. Consequently we've become bound to our
technology. Ironically, the very device that was invented
to connect us together is also isolating us.

(2002, Arcylic and Watercolour)
Painted from a photo, the outlining features are painted as blocks in
acrylic, while the details of the face is painted with watercolour. The
face is actually painted on a print out of the original photo, if you
look closely, you could see shades of the original photo. The
details of the face is painted over the print out with watercolour,
giving it a ghostly image. This painting is best viewed from a
far for the full effect.
