About me (and this site)

Hi, my name is Lu (rullie is my online nick). I was born in Shanghai, later moved to Toronto. If you didn't know, Shanghai itself has a population of roughly 19 million. And Canada in total has 34 million, about two Shanghais. This dramatic change in population density probably contributed towards my love for both "less is more" and "the more the better". I studied software engineering at University of Waterloo, graduated around May of 2010.

I've had this website for quite some time now. It was initially a platform for myself to fiddle around with PHP and Flash back in my highschool years. It has gone through quite a few designs and rewrites as the web evolves over time, from full Flash version to simple HTML version to full Ajax version. This particular version that you're looking at has been around for about three years now. Its engine is a mixture of PHP and javascript. There is no particular reason why I wrote my own engine instead of using Wordpress, and I don't plan to ever migrating it to Wordpress. I do want to port this site to common lisp though. :)

This particular section of the site is dedicated for my various weird hobbies and pet projects, showcasing what I waste my time on when I'm not busy doing homework or chatting on freenode. Feel free to contact me using the guestbook feature.
