Healthra

Healthra is an integrated health information system designed to address the lack of integration between mental health services in the Dufferin-Caledon region. Through the use of a web application solution, the project aims to allow clients to be able to access all of the information related to their care, including medications, lab reports, and appointments, from a single location. The creation of an integrated, client-centred portal aligns with Ontario’s Digital First for Health Strategy- to deliver seamless care throughout the healthcare system.

PalliCall
12
Present in hospitals across North America is the call bell system - a line of communication between caretakers and patients. Despite their ubiquity and importance, use can be unreliable for those in palliative care wards, such as at Baycrest Hospital in Toronto. Issues with reaching the call bell, as well as limitations on dexterity and strength are common issues affecting the frail. Our solution aims to create a system that allows palliative patients to reliably request help and considers patients of various cognitive and physical abilities.

With virtual reality becoming more commonplace, solutions to improve the immersive aspect of these environments are being created right alongside. Our solution intends to tackle issues of affordability, usability, and overall utility via a force-feedback, arm-mounted apparatus. Our solution is intended to be used as an easy-to-deploy mechanism for training simulations which typically suffer logistical challenges in completing them in person.

Ed Rover is a tool that aids high school students in choosing their post secondary education pathway. Students can use our web app to search Ontario university programs, filter results, and shortlist programs that pique their interest. Ed Rover provides information about each program gathered from several trusted sources, so students can gain deep, holistic insights to make educated decisions. Current university students and alumni can also rate their university experience, enabling high school students to assess qualitative feedback about each program.
