Special Event: Doctoral Consortium

Researchers working toward a Ph.D. are invited to submit proposals for the Doctoral Consortium of the 12th annual Group Decision and Negotiation conference in Amman, Jordan on 18 June 2011. This event provides a forum for people who have begun or are about to begin their doctoral dissertations to present their work to peers and senior academics, and so gain valuable insights about their research direction. The participants in the consortium frequently forge working long-term working relationships with colleagues from around the world. Doctoral Consortium has no fee and is open to all GDN 2011 participants.

Prospective participants, insofar as possible, should submit a short paper of no more than 3,000 words that gives an overview of their research, including the following: problem statement, research question(s), literature review, theoretical/technical model or framework, research method, preliminary findings, and future plans. In the morning, the Doctoral Consortium participants will present and discuss their dissertation research progress with other students and faculty. After lunch, consortium participants will receive feedback and suggestions regarding their research in face-to-face meetings with the Doctoral Consortium chairs and other experienced researchers. Here is the full announcement.

The GDN 2011 Consortium will be held on Saturday 18 June, 2011, a day  before GDN2011 conference.
