Topics include Economic load dispatch, Kuhn-Tucker conditions of optimality, unit commitment, coordination, power-flow analysis, simulation, power pools and electricity markets - models and design, calculation of reliability indices, deregulation and reliability, primary and secondary frequency control, steady-state stability.
Introduction to Operations Research; 3rd/4th year undergrad course; University of Tehran; 60 students. Topics include Characterizations of optimal solutions and efficient algorithms for, mainly linear, optimization problems.
Power Systems: Basics, Modeling and Stability Analysis; 4th year undergrad course; KNT University; 30 students. Topics include basic definitions and concepts associated with short circuit, power flow and stability analysis, and modeling system components (generators, transformers, transmission lines, cables, loads, and FACTS controllers).
