A Short Bio

I was born in Santiago of Chile, received the B.Sc. and the Engineer degree in electrical engineering from the University of Chile, Santiago, Chile, in 2006 and 2008 respectively. In January of 2014 I obtained the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, working under the supervision of Professors Claudio Cañizares and Mehrdad Kazerani, and in March of 2014 I joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile as Assistant Professor. My research interests include modelling, simulation, control and optimization of power systems in the context of smart grids.
