Welcome
I am an Associate Professor of Systems Design Engineering and the School of Optometry. I am also a Professional Engineer in Ontario. I also a co-direct the VIP (Vision, Image Processing) lab. My research interests include computer vision, AI, robotics, infrastructure monitoring, autonomous vehicles, image processing, augmented reality, assistive technology, to name a few. At the undergraduate level, I have taught systems & signals; electricity, magnetism & optics; statics, engineering design. At the graduate level, I have taught an introductory design course for graduate students, video computer vision, AI as well as other specialized courses in robotics and vision.
Research
My current research projects include (1) infrastructure distress monitoring; (2) Autonomous 3D Monocular SLAM (mapping); (3) Recovering unseen 3D objects; (4) Eye diagnosis screeningnad (5) sports analytics to name the major ones.
