The goal of the
Waterloo Engineering Endowment Fund (WEEF) is to continuously improve
the educational environment for undergraduate engineering students, and
maintain our outstanding reputation. WEEF collects donations
and puts them into a fund. The interest earned on the fund is spent
each year on undergrad laboratory equipment, student projects, computer
upgrades and academic tools/teaching facilities. The principle portion
of the fund is never spent which allows the interest each year to grow,
hence "The Gift That Keeps On Giving". The donations that build the
fund come from three sources: student donations, Employer Matching
Contribution (EMC), and engineering Alumni (including graduates'
Plummer's Pledge).

From the very
first home we built, it's been a labour of love. Now, over 21,000 homes
and 76 new communities later, we've taken millions of sheets of
drywall, many millions of bricks, a houseful of doorknobs and well over
a billion boards of lumber and turned them into the best homes we can
build. To us, it's a well-built home. To you, it's many, many
years of fond
memories which is why we pay so much attention to the details of each
home we build. This persistent attention has helped us earn many
industry awards for quality. It has also earned us over 21,000
satisfied customers. Our mission
is really quite simple. We want every
home we build to be the best home we build.
