Cubes: Notes

  • Sketching a cube in a multiview or in pictorial projection relies heavily on the skill of drawing parallel lines and lines at right angles

  • The student must learn to draw a face of the cube so that it appears to be square at a given orientation

  • The skill of choosing the correct relative orientation of the visible faces of the cube in an axonometric sketch such that the object “looks cubical” and gives the appearance of having the correct width, height, and depth dimensions, must be learned
