Cutting Planes

Introduction

The construction should be done using light lines using the following procedure:

  1. Draw the enclosing cube or rectangular box from a suitable viewpoint
  2. Draw the intersections of the major cutting planes on the faces of the enclosing box
  3. Progress in this way from the largest to the smallest surfaces on the object
  4. Imagine unwanted cut portions to be removed and darken the remaining visible edges.

NOTE: The techniques used for drawing straight lines and parallels should be put into practice while preparing your sketch.
