An update on TV/VCRs for the technical expo: If you require a TV/VCR, we can contact a rental company for you. The cost is $75 for the combo (21" screen). Please contact Wendy Brant if you will require a TV/VCR.

January 5, 1999

An update to the rules on sitting in the toboggan: When the toboggan is going down the hill, everything must be under the roll bar. Therefore, the last rider doesn't necessarily have to sit down, but at least must be squatting so that their head is below the roll bar. Nobody will be allowed to stand.

We will only handle crated toboggans. Therefore, if you want us to help you get your toboggan to the technical expo and to the hill, it must be crated, and then recrated after the tech expo. The hill is approx. 1 hour outside of Waterloo. Teams bringing their toboggans with them on trailers will have to transport them to the hill themselves if the toboggans are not crated. This is due to the fact that we will be using a forklift and flatbed truck to transport the toboggans, and don't want to damage any.

The earliest we want to receive shipped toboggans is January 15th, but please send them to arrive before the end of January to allow for shipping delays.

(OLD) Any teams wishing to use computers ot TVs/VCRs in their technical display are responible for providing those pieces of equipment. We will provide power to your booth.

We also need to know the number of vegetarian dishes required for each team. Please email Wendy Brant with your requirements.

We will be finalizing the busing arrangements from the airport to Waterloo in early January. Please send your flight times as early as possible if you are interested in a bus.

November 30, 1998

An update to the height restriction on the Technical Expo displays: Some teams have already made their displays, so we won't be too strict about it - just try to keep your display heights under 8 feet, and please advise us if you will be higher.

Please be advised that your technical reports will be due upon your arrival (ie. at registration).

November 18, 1998

(OLD) Finally! The Rules and Regulations have been updated. Please note that racers MUST be seated and under the roll bar in the toboggan on race day.

(OLD) A height restriction is now in effect for the Technical Expo. Display heights are limited to 8 feet.

November 15, 1998

Registration deadline.
