David Bickford
Dave has spent most of his cooperative education terms in software development positions, but had the
opportunity to work on a research project involving acoustics with Kamal during the summer. He is focusing
most of his technical electives in specializing in Control Systems. Dave's key responsibilities are the
construction and calibration of the microphone circuits, as well as the website and software design.
Kamal Joshi
Kamal is in his final year of Mechatronics Engineering (BASc Honors Degree) Program at the University of Waterloo. He has high practical and technical background spanning in various areas. His cooperative education experiences have been in R&D of consumer automotive products, Technical Areas and Management, and allow him to combine real-world experience with strong technical background. He has the ability to apply academic and practical knowledge to various different situations. Some of his specialties include: Electrical and Mechanical Designs, Project Management, Efficiency and Productivity Improvement.
Michal Martyniak
Mike is in his fourth year of the University of Waterloo Mechatronics Engineering program. Through his cooperative education experience he has gained knowledge in Mechanical, Software, and Electrical design. In his final term, Mike had the opportunity to design a complete analog/digital system involving a PCB design as well as an embedded microcontroller. Mike's role in the project will be in the design of the Mechanical, Electrical, and control system for the camera rotation mechanism, as well as support in the software implementation and system integration.
