Our Team
The RangeRover team is committed to creating a novel means to ensure your pet's safety and fitness. As avid canine enthusiasts, we care about your pet's well-being and health, which is why we wish to combine our skills to create a product to improve your dog's life. RangeRover began as our 2015 Capstone project for the final year of the Mechatronics Engineering program at the University of Waterloo. The team has been close friends since the first year of the program and are excited to use their knowledge and passion as young entrepreneurs.
Sarah Bonin
Through her co-op positions, Sarah has gained experience in a wide range of areas including web and app development, human-machine interface (HMI) development, controls engineering, and embedded programming. Sarah has also gained experience in communicating with clients, designing user layouts, and creating educational content for technical subjects. To a team environment, Sarah brings a variety of skills including organization, motivation and hard work. Sarah seeks a career in controls engineering.
Will Cullen
During his studies in Mechatronics Engineering, Will has brought his unique problem solving approaches to various fields. He has optimized mechanical stiffness calculations of scissor lifts, and created new testing grounds for Facebook's mobile development process. Will excels at controls theory, image processing and robot mapping and planning. His strong analytical skills, adaptive nature, and drive for efficiency make him an excellent asset to the team. Will is seeking a career in creating autonomous robots and 3D vision systems.
Connor MacDonald
Connor's past experience assists with the development of intuitive user interfaces and ergonomic optimization. He also has experience with developing robust and durable systems. His technical skills include human-machine interface (HMI) development, electrical design, controls engineering, application development, and automation engineering. Connor brings creativity and optimism to the team and he strives to create intuitive and effective products. Connor seeks a career in industrial automation and controls.
Scott Willems
Scott has worked in a wide range of industries, from health care to aerospace, creating mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering solutions. Scott has experience in working alongside customers and suppliers in order to produce high quality end results under strict time constraints. As of June 2015, Scott will be an employee of Brock Solutions, working in controls engineering.
