ANA: Automated Nurse Assist

1

Monitoring patient health is critical in care homes with staff measuring key vitals several times a day to determine patient well being. ANA aims to optimize this process with an all-encompassing technological system. Our compact wearable design automates the collection of many health markers, including heart rate, respiration rate, blood oxygenation, blood pressure, and body temperature. A sleek digital interface displays information that is simultaneously uploaded to the cloud for easy remote access by the entire staff. With ANA, never again will a patient’s condition be overlooked.

Checkout+

2

Checkout+ is an add-on system for self-checkout machines that uses machine learning and computer vision to detect barcode-less produce items. Entering items without barcodes can be time-consuming and difficult, dissuading users from using the more isolated and safer self-checkout. Checkout+ is designed to facilitate faster, safer, and easier grocery store checkouts during these stressful times.

FFAVR

3

The Force Feedback Arm for Virtual Reality (FFAVR) is a new and exciting device that will increase immersion during a typical session of Virtual Reality (VR) gaming. The FFAVR will apply force to a user's arm in order to simulate the current situation in VR. This will greatly enhance otherwise empty feeling movements such as pushing a door or curling a dumbbell.

Flexion Angle Calculation, Tracking, and Statistics (FACTS)

5

Unsupervised fitness training can lead to injury if certain motions are performed incorrectly or without proper form. One such motion is the bending of the knee, and FACTS (Flexion Angle Calculation, Tracking, and Statistics) is a lightweight, smart knee sleeve connected to a mobile app that aims to help amateur athletes assess their own form unassisted.
