A collaborative research platform built on a data fabric for researchers to collaborate on sensitive data while maintaining ownership over their data. With new data privacy laws popping up every day, sharing data requires lengthy contracts and red-tape procedures, but owners still have no control over their data. We aim to help researchers collaborate on data while maintaining the principles of data ownership and ‘zero copies’. Our Collaborative Research Platform (CRP) is built on top of a data fabric and collects sensitive data from multiple universities while enforcing variable data access and governance requirements. Retail investing has become increasingly popular through the COVID-19 pandemic. However, retail investors lack the time, information, and emotional control to make quality investment decisions. Investa applies portfolio modeling techniques and research-backed risk assessments to provide these investors with customized portfolios that match their individual preferences and needs. Investa aims to strike a balance between traditional portfolio advisory and mathematical optimization to create accurate user risk profiles and suggest investment opportunities that may improve returns for investors, while empowering retail investors to invest with confidence.
