Our team is comprised of three university of waterloo engineering students who are currently in the 4th year of the mechatronics program.

With each member in our team contributing his own unique and valuable strength to the team, our team continues to strive for better.

team members

Chang Ki Lee

Chang is a student from the University of Waterloo who is currently in the 4th year of mechatronics engineer program. With his personal interest focused on the mechanical aspect of engineering, he has a lot of experience in 2D and 3D CAD modelling. In this project he will be primarily reponsible for most of 3D parts CAD modelling and also work on corner detection algorithm for the window frame.

Matthew Ma

Matthew is a student from the University of Waterloo who is currently in the 4th year of mechatronics engineer program. His research interests focused on computer vision, intelligent control and multi-agent system. For the past, he has done Electro-Mechanical system design, compiler design and software development as well as some research oriented positions at university and industrial settings In this project, he is primarily responsible for vision processing that involves camera matrix construction and 3d reconstruction.

Marc Doan

Marc, also a 4th year mechatronics engineering student from the University of Waterloo, has gained experience in working with openCV programming from the automous robotics course taken in the previous term. With his extensive programming experience and critical thinking, he is expected to work on the extended kalman filter design and implementation for UAV flight control, while also having a considerable role in working with camera matrix.

team Advisor

Professor Steven L. Waslander

Professor Waslander's is now taking a teaching job in the University of Waterloo and his research interest lies on aerial and  terrestrial autonomous vehicles.

Professor Waslander also works as an advisor for University of Waterloo Micro Aerial Vehicles student team and has provided many valuable advices and insights for the team.
