Hatrock Consulting

The existing Jacques Cartier Bridge Multi-Use Pathway is unable to accommodate the growing population of Longueuil and Montreal. Furthermore, the main bridge is unable to support additional dead load. Hatrock Consulting has been attained by the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated to design a lightweight multi-use path to replace the existing path. The newly designed path will incorporate aluminum to address the key concerns by providing a wider path to increase pedestrian/cyclist flow and maintain the overall self-weight of the bridge.

In the United States more than 60 million residents live in the path of a hurricane, leaving their homes exposed to natural hazards and frequently requiring evacuation. PITA Consulting has proposed a single-family home built on the southern Louisiana coast, intended to withstand the destructive forces of a 100-year design storm event. The proposed plan aims to keep cost and constructability consistent with traditional homes in the area.
