The Royal Society of Canada has
awarded the prestigious Queen
Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal
to Professor Garry Rempel from
University of Waterloo’s Depart-
ment of Chemical Engineering.
This award is sign of appreciation
for significant contributions to
scholarship, arts and services as
well asservices rendered towards
one’s peers and one’s community.
The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond
Jubilee Medal was created in 2012
to mark the 60th anniversary of Her
Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's
accession to the Throne as Queen
of Canada.
