Boxin Zhao

Boxin Zhao participated in the 96th Canadian Chemistry
Conference, Quebec, where he co-organized a symposium
“Surface Science of Biomimetic Films, Green Materials and
Sustainable Nanocomposites”. Boxin was also invited to
deliver a talk entitled “ Development of Micro and Nano-
structured Materials: From Biomimicry to Electronic Packag-
ing” in the industry-academic partnering event “Reinventing
Canada's Electronics Landscape “, hosted by Celestica and
the University of Waterloo with support from NSERC. Boxin’s
research team takes an innovative biomimetic approach,
combines soft, sticky polymer with nanotechnology for the
development of environmentally friendly, self-cleaning, smart
materials and interfaces for advanced manufacturing. His
research of “nano-glue” for electronics was highlighted in the
Waterloo Stories.
