A Customer Management Start-up Initiative

Rakr is a Canadian startup that provides cost-saving energy solutions for farms. Their product, The Neat Meter, monitors power consumption which allows for the calculation of useful insights and analytics. As they grow, it becomes increasingly more important to manage their customer base. Our team is developing a customer management software that will visualize Rakr’s data in metrics such as location, energy usage, and farm size. This will provide Rakr with new capabilities, helping them manage their customers and scale their growth.

At the University of Waterloo, students are required to choose their courses for upcoming terms. In this project, we discuss the current course selection process and explore different approaches for students to view and decide what courses they want to take, including the most famous UWFlow and the school’s undergraduate calendar. We interviewed some of the UWFlow users to collect their feedback, including upsides and downsides of the system. Based on the information gathered, we will build a technical solution to address these challenges and evaluate its impact.
