Boxin Zhao | Assistant Professor
This past year, Boxin Zhao participated in the 96th Canadian
Chemistry Conference, where he co-organized the sympo-
sium “Surface Science of Biomimetic Films, Green Materials
and Sustainable Nanocomposites.” He was also invited to
deliver a talk on the development of micro- and nano-
structured materials.
Boxin’s research team continues to take an innovative
biomimetic approach, combining soft, sticky polymers with
nanotechnology to develop environmentally friendly,
self-cleaning, smart materials and interfaces for advanced
manufacturing. His research in “nano-glue” for electronics was
highlighted the University’s online stories in 2013.
