The KW-Peel-Hamilton Transportation Optimization Design Project is addressing the public transit planning and operations between urban conglomerates; Kitchener-Waterloo, Peel Region, and Hamilton Region. This project has analyzed the existing infrastructure and transit services to improve specifically (1) direct transit connectivity between KW-Hamilton and (2) bus transit travel times along highway 401 during peak hours. The final design includes a net-new bus service directly connecting KW-to-Hamilton, schedule revisions between Waterloo-and-Peel, and the implementation of an HOV shoulder between Townline Road and Highway 6 along Highway 401.

Axolotl Airforce took on the challenge to remediate Lindsay, California's poor air quality by designing a receptor based technology, specifically a Solar Assisted Large Scale Cleaning System (SALSCS) to target Particular Matter 2.5 as priority. The SALSCS operates by generating air flow through a tower by temperature differences in ambient air and in-tower air, The generated air flow will be driven through filters or dispersed such that the pollutant concentration in Lindsay is lower.
